MK1 1275 S engine & box (re-built by Minispeed in 2011 - Engine No. MS961 IE 0711)
MS = Minispeed, 961 = Build engine No, IE = Ian Elliot (builder), 0711 = month & year built.
+0.020” overbore, giving 1293 cc
6.5cc dished Omega pistons.
Balanced ‘S’ rods, 0.0035” bore clearance, 0.020” surfaced from block
Reground, heat treated and balanced MK3 ‘S’ Crank on 10/10 grind
Ultralight flywheel and back plate with competition clutch
Kent 286 cross drilled billet camshaft (equivalent to old BMC 544 camshaft)
Centre Main Strap
Minispeed Concept 36 cylinder head. Comp. Ratio 11.1 to 1.
1.5:1 roller rockers
L.C.B. exhaust manifold - centre exit.
Rolling road tuned and tested May 2015 (Dave Bogg - Bogg Brothers, Malton – 100hp at wheels)
2 x 1.5” SU H4 carburettors on gas flowed inlet manifold. Matched to head
K & N Competition air filters., cone type with stub stacks.
13 Row oil cooler.
Centre oil pick-up pipe.
Dipstick retention spring added
Electric fan on LH side inner wing - switch on drivers panel - not thermostatically controlled

Four speed syncro.gearbox, Final Drive 3.76 to 1 (estimated)
BRAKING SYSTEM Vented Discs, 4 pot calliper, Superfin Rear Drums Aeroquip hoses front and rear. Fly-Off Handbrake
SUSPENSION
Rubber cone to coil spring conversion Adjustable front tie bars with heavy- duty rubber bushes at forward end.Front alignment set to 2.75 degrees caster, 0 degrees toe-out.
